A repair visit that comes to you

I travel from Selby to customers in York. You don't need to bring your car to a workshop: send your postcode and let me know where the car can be parked, and I'll discuss a suitable place to work.

A driveway isn't essential. Roadside work may be possible when the damaged side can face the pavement and there is safe, suitable access. At a workplace, check that you have permission to use the parking space for the repair.

I arrange each visit directly with you. Availability and the repair plan depend on your location and the damage, so please contact me before making arrangements.

Is your dent suitable?

Each repair starts with an assessment of the damage.

Parking dents and door dings

Small dents can be candidates for paintless repair when the paint is intact. The position of the dent and access to the panel also matter.

Larger dents and creases

I also assess more substantial damage. Size alone doesn't decide suitability: paint condition, stretched metal and panel access affect what can be achieved.

Damaged paint

Paintless repair doesn't repaint scratches or chips. Let me know about broken paint or previous repairs so I can explain the limitations before you arrange a visit.

To reach this dent beneath the door’s inner brace, I removed the door trim and wing mirror, then worked the dent out using paintless repair tools.

A few clear photos help me assess the dent before travelling to you. Please include:

  1. 1. A wider photo showing which panel is damaged.
  2. 2. Close-ups from more than one angle, in good light.
  3. 3. Your car's make and model, your postcode and any visible paint damage.

The quote depends on the dent's size, depth and position, the condition of the paint and access to the panel. I'll discuss suitability and timing with you; an in-person assessment may be needed to confirm the repair.
